Job description
Position supports the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
Perform mechanical, electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment including coolers and freezers.
Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and validate work performed.
Ensure safety by following all company policies including safety rules, procedures and Lock-out / Tag-out procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), personal safety standards, food safety standards as well as OSHA standards.
Troubleshoot equipment as well as plant electrical/mechanical systems and develop sustainable solutions accordingly.
Complete all assigned work orders within the time allotted. Maintain complete records of work performed using software, work orders, detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups/departments.
Assist with equipment change overs and line startups, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Identify required parts, maintain current inventories and parts reorder lists.
Assure that all products are manufactured to the highest standard of quality.

General Requirements:
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Food processing experience. Hygiene, cleanliness, etc.
- Food processing machine knowledge.
- Some electrical processing knowledge.
- Knowledge of Industrial freezer, cooler mechanics and electrical.
- Knowledge of pneumatical automation controls.
- Flexible hours between 5:00AM am 5:00PM.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Some building maintenance, sinks, toilets, lights, filters etc.
- Ability to lift 50LBS.
- Ability to stand long periods of time.
- Ability to walk long periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to communicate with vendors for troubleshooting.
- Ability to read prints, electrical, and pneumatics schematics.
- Ability to assimilate into union shop environment, team player.
- Ability to work alone.
- Ability to communicate with production and management personnel.
- Some basic computer knowledge. Building automation controls, Microsoft.
- Willing to be an all-around mechanic.
- Willing to accept work related criticism, follow orders and work beyond expectations.
- Welding is a plus.
- Fabrication is a plus.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Lock out Tag out literate.
- Safety for personal and employee’s well-being.
- Safety for the products customers will consume.
- Trustworthy, ethical and honest.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50 - $26.00 per hour
