St. Bernard Hospital is searching for a Maintenance Technician (General) who can perform a wide range of projects, including general repairs and preventive maintenance tasks according to established procedures. The candidate should possess the qualities of problem solving, trouble shooting, and a good communicator.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance experience.
Responsibility Highlights
- Perform general maintenance duties to include: general plumbing, electrical, mechanic, welding, and carpentry assignments.
- Perform minor electrical repairs including replacing outlets and switches, replacing fuses, and wiring connections.
- Provide assistance and/or repairs medical gas outlets.
- Repair fixed or suspended ceiling titles, cutting to fit, as needed.
- Assemble and install office furniture and modules.
- Measure, cut, and install drywall including taping and filling drywall joints and corners.
- Prepare surfaces for painting or refinishing using appropriate tools and compounds.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs to include unclogging drains, replacing valves and faucets.
- Respond to maintenance calls to all hospital departments including off-site clinics and medical buildings.
- Repair hospital beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.30 per hour
