Job Overview:
Join a well-established, family-operated HVAC company with over 75 years of experience serving clients across California. We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable self-starter to lead our service department as an HVAC Service Manager. In this role, you will oversee a team of technicians performing commercial and residential service and preventative maintenance, ensuring that we continue to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and participate in all aspects of call-taking, scheduling, and dispatching responsibilities
- Lead the quoting and sales process for service, repairs, replacements, and maintenance
- Develop and nurture long-term customer relationships, ensuring client satisfaction
- Monitor the progress of all current and pending service department projects, ensuring timely completion
- Manage inventory, including the purchasing and mobilization of materials for service department projects
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturing representatives and dealers, facilitating smooth operations
- Monitor employee performance and provide regular progress reports to enhance customer and employee satisfaction and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is essential (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new software tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage stressful situations efficiently
