New Urban Residential is a North Carolina based owner operated property management company with a long-term investment horizon.
The Maintenance Technician position assists in the overall completion of unit turnover, repairs, renovations, work orders, projects and on call emergencies. The Maintenance Technician position will be directly responsible for carrying out all duties as assigned by the Raleigh-Durham Maintenance Supervisor including:
1. Carry out maintenance requests including HVAC repairs
2. Complete carpentry, painting, kitchen/bath renovations and flooring work to upgrade and make-ready apartments
3. Participate in scheduled inspections of the premises including A/C compressors, roofs, and stairs, parking areas, laundry facilities, trash enclosures, walkways and exterior lighting
4. Maintain all storage and maintenance shops with monthly inventory and organization procedures
5. Report to work on time with a neat and professional appearance in a uniform provided the company
6. Be courteous and pleasant to residents and co-workers at all times
7. Maintain playground, other recreational areas and ensure the exterior of the property and amenities are clean and inviting at all times
8. Hold a valid, state issued, driver’s license and a maintain a means of transportation to travel to our communities
9. Adhere to and understand the safety standards that are described in the Associate Manual
10. Inform the maintenance supervisor or assistant maintenance supervisor of any concerns related to personal safety, resident safety, emergency situations and matters that need immediate attention
11. Tools of the trade will be provided and secured at the community maintenance facility
12. Support and encourage team performance
13. Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

- Raleigh, NC: Relocate before starting work (Required)
