Job Summary
Provide support to the Restaurant Facilities Manager, Chefs, Front of the House, and Special Events Departments by completing daily requisitions and help with furniture and setups for events. Must be able to lift furniture and climb ladders to change light bulbs and basic repairs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Oversee the opening and closing cleaning of the restaurant, delegation of daily porter tasks, bathroom attendants, and side work duties. Report employee issues, such as lateness and absences, to Managers.
Work with dishwashing machine vendor, pest control vendor, and other relevant Facilities vendors as needed.
Some Receiving, Inventory, and Ordering responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills to direct the staff to complete tasks timely, properly, and effectively and make sure all procedures are being followed.
Must have previous experience as a Steward, Lead Steward, Lead Porter, or Porter Supervisor.
Must be bilingual (Spanish and English).
Ability to work well under pressure and think quickly on your feet.
Basic computer skills, such as reading and sending emails.
Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts as needed, including overnight projects, and potential overtime.
