Byte Services Inc. is looking for a Marine Electronics Installer to join our team. This person will work to support the installation and maintenance of advanced marine electronics systems, including Garmin and other leading brands, on a variety of vessels.
The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent technical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Install, configure, and maintain marine electronics systems, including Garmin navigation, communication, and radar systems.
· Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve system issues promptly and effectively.
· Ensure all installations meet safety and regulatory standards.
· Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work.
· Conduct routine maintenance checks and provide repair services for a wide range of marine electronics.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in marine electronics and recommend system upgrades when necessary.
· All other tasks as required.
Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience:
· A minimum of three (3) years of experience in marine electronics installation, specifically with Garmin and other marine electronics brands.
· Strong understanding of marine electrical systems and components.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and installation guides.
· Experience with various marine electronics systems, including GPS, radar, sonar, communication devices, and other navigation equipment.
· Certification from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) is a plus.
· Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
· Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different locations as required.
