Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Investigation and Drug Test
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience with fire alarm systems
- Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, measure, cut, install materials for small service/repair jobs
- Fire Alarm Systems NICET certifications Level I, II , or III
- Water based systems NICET certifications or the willingness to obtain one
Overview:
Fire Alarm duties include inspection, testing and maintenance of various types of fire alarm systems, to include King Fisher or Monaco radio transmitters. Preparing reports according to NFPA 72 standards. Assisting in the installation of fire alarm & mass notification system devices, and radio transmitters.
Sprinkler Job duties include assisting in the servicing, inspecting and testing of sprinkler systems to the prescribed standards, performing some on-site troubleshooting and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, identifying code and non-conformance issues, and preparing accurate and timely inspections and reports.
Special Consideration will be provided to those who have additional skills in:
- General Fire Alarm & Mass Notification Systems
- General Wet & Dry Sprinkler Systems
- NICET
- Standpipe
- Back Flow
- Fire Pump (electrical & diesel)
- Pre-Action Systems
- Clean Agent Systems
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Schedule and perform quarterly and annual inspections on fire alarm & mass notification systems
- Minor repairs found on the fire alarm/mass notification systems
- Determine materials and help maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
- Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, building managers, and other customer representatives
- Help in other fire protection departments when needed (sprinkler, special hazards, hood)

Salary Range: $60,000 to $80,000 (based on experience)
