Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Electrician will work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contribute to various projects that require high voltage expertise and precise blueprint reading skills.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician in both commercial and industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience working with high voltage systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and voltmeters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by state or local regulations.
