Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Low Voltage and Fiber Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Fiber Technician at Allied Fence and Security, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage security systems. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and security of our clients' properties, making a significant impact on their peace of mind.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and intercoms.
- Fusion Splice Fiber along with mechanical splicing.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand their security needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct on-site assessments and inspections to determine the most suitable security system design and placement.
- Run low voltage wiring, connect devices, and program systems for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair security system issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Provide technical support to clients and assist in training them on the use of security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in low voltage security systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in low voltage systems is a plus.
- Must know how to splice fiber via Fusion or Mechanical splicing.
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Security Technician or related field.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Proficiency in running low voltage wiring and programming security devices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
