Maintenance Technician:
***Will consider someone for both 1 st & 2 nd shift (will train on 1 st shift if offered a 2nd shift position)
***Must be strong mechanically, but have some electrical experience ( 3 phase motor, wiring and using multi - meter tool )
Job Description: Troubleshoots, installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools and pistons, conveying systems, and production machines and equipment. Conducts all responsibilities in a safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. • Analyzes test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems. • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. • Studies blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery. • Uses appropriate testing devices to assist in troubleshooting. • Collaborates with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment. • Dismantles machines and/or machine parts machinery to gain access to and replace or repair malfunctioning, defective or worn parts. • Examines parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear. • Cleans, lubricates or adjusts functional parts of machinery and control instruments. • Installs, troubleshoots and r Repairs/installs electrical equipment. • Enters codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. • Rebuilds used equipment. • Inspects used parts to determine functionality. • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. • Constructs/Installs new equipment. • Cuts and welds metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment. • Reassembles equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. • Tests performance of machinery after repairs. • Demonstrates equipment functions and features to machine operators. • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment/machinery. • Uses chemical solutions to clean or repair machinery and equipment. • Removes hardened material from machines or machine parts, using abrasives, power and hand tools, jackhammers, sledgehammers, or other equipment. • Records parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. • Records repairs and maintenance performed. • Keeps safety equipment up to standards, cleaning, repairing or replacing as necessary. • Collects and discards worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and work areas. • Maintains all safety equipment in proper working order. • Maintains building and grounds and keep work areas neat and orderly as requested. • Completes documentation on shift maintenance. • Is available for company emergencies on “off” shifts.
