An HVAC Mechanic must have strong knowledge of buildings and their operation. This person will perform routine inspections on, maintain, and repair HVAC and plumbing components. They must have an understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure they are in good working condition. This person must respond promptly and act to mitigate the impact from emergency situations such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures. Additionally, they will monitor and maintain equipment such as boilers and chillers. Accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders are critical to track history and plan for future needs. Other tasks will be assigned as needed. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight on any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
The hourly pay range for this position is $29.75 - $39.67 commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Experience in a hotel is preferred
Technical certifications or vocational training in this field preferred
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and customer service skills are required for interacting with guests, colleagues, and external partners
Ability to work in a physical role and lift a moderate amount of weight
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Experience with a building management system and fire sprinkler system in a commercial property
