Seeking an experienced onsite Facilities HVAC Technician
Skills in HVAC to install, modify, assemble, and maintain various equipment and supply systems. Be able to efficiently connect, route, and assemble both internal and external systems and components, including pneumatic, electrical, electronic, programmable logic controls, and chemical systems. The technician is responsible for deciding on and executing the proper repair actions, which involve removing, repairing, and replacing necessary components. Collaboration with area operators, leadership, engineers, and other technicians is essential to find both immediate and long-term solutions.
Additionally, the role requires maintaining detailed records of repairs, calibrations, tests, preventative maintenance, spare parts, and procedures. Proficiency in key technical skills- pneumatics, electrical, electronics, and programmable logic systems- must be maintained, and all work must adhere to safety regulations. The technician must also acquire and maintain State / Federal licenses and certificates, participate in required training, and assist in improving process and equipment dependability. The role includes independent work on analysis and repairs, supporting other technicians, and occasionally taking on leadership responsibilities in line with organizational policies.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 2 – 4 years as an HVAC Technician II in the facilities department or 4-6 years of experience in related field. Requires a post-secondary certification in Industrial field or Equivalent work experience. In lieu of degree, provide proof of course completion from an accredited college or certifications related to HVAC field.
Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, operating procedures, blueprints, and maintenance manuals. Must be to write routine reports, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, and interpret engineering drawings with some assistance. Proficiency in basic math in both Metric and English units, and the ability to compute ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs and charts. Familiarity in software programs such as Word, Excel, and SAP.
Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. Occasionally exposed to toxic, acidic or caustic chemicals, wet and / or humid conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but can occasionally be at a high level. Frequently required to perform work in a cleanroom environment.
To ensure a safe work environment while meeting the physical demands of the job, you must be able to perform the following tasks:
· Ability to lift and / or move, by pushing or pulling, regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
· Regularly required to walk, use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, controls, and reach.
· Frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and wear cleanroom attire. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and wear protective gear and / or breathing devices.
