Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC/R systems, including air conditioning and ammonia refrigeration. This role involves maintaining, servicing, and designing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating equipment.
- Design HVAC systems based on client specifications and environmental requirements.
- Plumb new installations as necessary to support HVAC systems.
- Operate company vehicles as a van driver to transport tools and equipment to job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role in the field of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration (HVAC/R).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to design efficient HVAC solutions tailored to specific environments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various conditions.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in HVAC/R are preferred but not mandatory.
