ES2 is seeking an HVAC Controls team member to join our growing team of trade professionals. Responsible for the installation of conduit, wire, and devices using ES2’s established standards for building automation control systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. Provide installation as specified by the contract documents and local applicable codes.
JOB SUMMARY
Installation & Job Site Responsibilities
- Gain knowledge to Install automatic control systems according to ES2 installation procedures and ensures compliance with specifications and applicable codes
- Follow company processes to track and submit accurate timekeeping records
- Works independently and be able to coordinate job installation and completion with the Project Manager.
- Learn to install conduit systems (EMT, GRC, PVC, etc.) and electric cable in a neat and workmanlike manner.
- Become familiar with installation materials and control devices; their function, use, and proper mounting and installation
- Become familiar with various third-party device installation and terminations i.e. VFDs, Chillers, Boilers
- Records on site changes made to control drawings and maintain current as built control drawings denoting installation wiring, pertaining conduit routing and locations of sensors, panels, and interlocking systems
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving records, be free of any felony convictions, and be able to pass federal background checks as required to work on secure government facilities.
- Capable of safely working in a construction environment, including the ability to lift, push, or move up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as the ability to climb, kneel, squat, or work at high altitudes or in confined spaces in order to deliver the scope of work.
- Can work in adverse weather conditions.
- Be prepared for a changing work environment during the course of a work shift.
- Available to work overtime, varied shift hours, and out of town when needed.
- The ability to read and understand controls wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with a variety of stakeholders and contexts, including conflict resolution.
- Willing to travel 80% of the time.
- Strong background in data, access controls, or fire alarm.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma/GED or completion of trade school required.
- Electrical or Mechanical Apprentice license preferred.
Starting pay will be based on experience.
