C2O Group is seeking a skilled Sub-Station Technician to join our team.

Duties

Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
Interpret and work from electrical construction blueprints and elementary drawings.
Install substation structures and equipment, including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, CCVTs, reactors, capacitors, batteries, circuit breakers, gang-operated switches, and other essential substation apparatus.
Install both below-grade and above-grade electrical raceways and wiring.
Set up equipment related to metering, communication systems, and relaying systems, including both electro-mechanical and solid-state electronics where applicable.
Experience with stress cone terminations up to 34kV.
Familiar with rigging operations.
Operate necessary vehicles and equipment such as personal lifts, skid steers, and reach trucks.
Identify and mitigate hazards associated with working in substations.
Should possess most of the skills and experience outlined above.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in substations.\
Ability to Relocate
OSHA 1910.269 Certification preferred.
Knowledge of technical practices for planning, layout, and maintenance or repair of high-voltage equipment.
Proficient in using and maintaining electrical tools and test equipment such as rotation meters, digital test instruments, amp meters, voltmeters, and meggers.
Knowledge of substation grounding procedures to establish an equipotential work zone.
Skilled in installing protective grounds.
Relevant experience in a high-voltage environment is required.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted.
Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Must carry out Drug and Alcohol testing/ screening.
Must be authorized to work in the US
