Primary Responsibilities:
§ Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in commercial electrical systems
§ Works independently
§ Plans and performs installation and maintenance on electrical systems such as: lighting systems, lighting controls, switchgear, branch / feeder installation, motor / motor controls and device installation.
§ Reads blue prints, details, one lines, installation manuals and specifications for proper installation of electrical systems
§ Managing and ordering material needed for the installation
§ Install electrical systems per specifications and NEC standards
§ Strong understanding of electrical theory
§ Ability to communicate with customers to solve their electrical issues
§ Ability to communicate with the office for scheduling, ordering and tracking projects
§ Follows job site safety procedures and company standards.
§ Advanced knowledge and working procedures for the NFPA 70E Arch flash and hot work procedures.
Qualification:
§ 5-10 years experience as a journeyman electrician
§ Pervious service and maintenance electrical work
§ Strong work ethic and great attitude
§ Safe working procedures and knowledge of OSHA requirements
§ Knowledgeable of the National Electric Code requirements
§ Knowledge of electrical material, components, equipment, systems, layout and methods of installation
§ Ability to read and interpret blue prints, one line diagrams, wiring diagrams and written specifications
§ Ability to stay calm in tense moments
§ Ability to review and understand a construction schedule
§ Ability to pass a background check
Educational and Training:
§ Electrical apprenticeship, accredited electrical training program or equivalent work experience is preferred
§ High School diploma, GED or equivalent training
§ 5-10 years’ experience in the electrical construction industry
§ OSHA 10 training is preferred
Additional Requirements:
§ Work 40 hours per week and overtime if required
§ Safely lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
