Inspection Experts, Inc., a facilities management firm, is seeking a skilled Building Stationary Engineer with a proven track record in addressing system issues, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and carrying out regular preventive maintenance and repairs across various systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, drainage, and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high and low voltage electrical work, including electrical lighting systems.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC, commercial refrigeration, CHILLERS, and related mechanical room equipment.
- Handle plumbing and piping systems.
- Undertake carpentry and metalwork tasks.
- Conduct essential equipment readings to ensure operational efficiency, maintenance history, and reporting accuracy. Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is advantageous.
- Manage fire alarms and life safety systems.
- Work with machines and electromechanical devices.
- Address daily service tickets and repair calls promptly and effectively.
- Conduct internal and external inspections of chillers, HVAC systems, and associated controls.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Provide clear, customer-centric verbal and written communication.
- Deliver high-quality service in a timely and customer-oriented manner.
- Ensure adherence to company, industry, and regulatory safety standards and protocols.
- Maintain 100% customer satisfaction and exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to cover for the onsite Supervisor as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Trade or Vocational School education and a minimum of five years’ experience at the journeyman level on HVAC, electrical, lighting, drainage, or controls systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics and technical documents from manufactures.
- Hands on experience with installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting chillers (air cooled and water cooled), HVAC mechanical distribution, controls (DDC), and hydraulic systems.
- CFC Certification required. Universal certification is a must.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for email and data entry tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and handle equipment and tools weighing over 300 lbs.
- Strong verbal, written, computer communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License in good standing from the state of residence.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Successful completion of a security clearance investigation will be necessary.
