The Opportunity
A successful Regional Service Leader for Portable Cooling will represent their region as a member of the HVAC RNTL senior leadership team. The candidate will manage the performance of the field operations team which includes drivers and field technical support staff in assigned branch locations. The position is responsible for day-to-day rental operations such as inventory controls and warehouse organization, maintenance and allocation of equipment, expediting approved purchase orders in a timely manner to ensure there are no lost opportunities, and effectively and efficiently managing the dispatching of the rental team resources. In addition to leading the an exceptional customer experience on behalf of HVAC RNTL, the Regional Service Leader will lead the transformation of the portable business with their territory to improve processes & procedures, develop operational talent, and be responsible for growing the profitability of their region.
Responsibilities:
· Leading by example, setting a strong safety culture with the operations team and developing safety best practices
· Recruit, onboard, train and develop field operations employees within your region
· Lead the development of best practices and process development within the operations organization
· Develop your people by providing meaningful feedback during regular reviews and D2D coaching
· Be an active part of new fleet acquisition by providing well-reasoned business cases for new fleet investment
· Conduct weekly meetings with the portable cooling operations team to review sales activity and the jobs to be delivered for the week ensuring adequate equipment & people capacity for upcoming projects
· Manage the equipment inventory and the uploading process of equipment to active orders
· Manage the warehouse inventory and develop/implement systems for organization
· Manage the repairs, maintenance, and testing of equipment to ensure it is rental ready
· Ensuring job costing is accurate and applied to work orders
· Lead project post mortem reviews to continually learn and continuously improve
· Be accessible 24/7 for service issues and emergency project needs
· Provide and set expectations for exceptional customer experience for the field operations team
· Assist with various projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned
The Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline
- Minimum 5 year’s experience managing technicians and/or service coordinators in a service based business
- Track record of mentoring and developing service technicians
- Demonstrated experience in developing and embedding processes & procedures within an operations organization
- Ability to travel to branches within your assigned regional, up to 50% travel; candidate must live near major US airport within the East or Central region of the U.S.
- Expert level experience with Microsoft Suite: Word, Power Point, Excel
- Proven ability to work effectively in collaboration with department heads as well as the executive team
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proven problem solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
