Overview
HVAC/R technician for Austin and surrounding area. Minimum experience of either one year with HVAC service contractor, completion of accredited HVAC/R vocational class, or combination of both. Duties will consist of mainly restaurant type work on both comfort cooling and refrigeration. Willing to train acceptable candidates. Offering health insurance (partially paid by employer), paid vacation, company supplied tools on major items, company vehicle, and 401k to start soon.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in commercial properties.
- Troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems, and refrigeration units.
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Build and modify HVAC components as needed for system upgrades or repairs.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working with refrigerants and electrical components.
Requirements
- mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics.
- Minimum experience of either one year with HVAC service contractor, completion of accredited HVAC/R vocational class, or combination of both.
- Familiarity with refrigeration principles and basic electrical knowledge
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Texas driver's license Is required as well as passing backgrounf check for travel between job sites.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC/R are a plus but not mandatory.
