About this role:
We are looking for a Service Electrician to handle a variety of residential electrical tasks. In this role, you will troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes. You will diagnose issues, perform necessary repairs or replacements, and communicate effectively with homeowners to explain problems and solutions. Strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service are key to succeeding in this position.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Performing residential service work by diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, identifying issues, and executing repairs to restore functionality.
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers, to ensure reliable operation.
- Effectively communicating with customers to explain electrical problems, present repair or replacement options, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs.
- Handling physical demands of the job, such as pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects safely.
- Performing basic wiring tasks, including installing disconnects, whips, branch circuits, breakers, and other electrical accessories, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Utilizing a thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical trade, including their proper handling and maintenance.
- Applying knowledge of electrical codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and national standards, and to maintain safety on the job site.
Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of electrical experience, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
- No License needed.
- A valid driver’s license with a least 3 years of driving experience
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and creativity as a collaborative team player.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to address and resolve electrical issues.
- The physical ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required by the job
Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements of this job include tasks such as lifting weights (e.g., pounds regularly and occasionally), climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work. The role also involves working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces, and exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather conditions such as rain or snow.
