Job Description:
As an Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment and electrical wiring, ensuring proper functionality of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair and maintain electrical systems (including wiring)
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical devices and systems
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and wiring to ensure the best functionality of devices
- Perform equipment upgrades (e.g. air conditioning) as needed to improve functionality of electrical devices
- Ensure compliance with all JE standards and procedures
- Maintain records of work performed and devices repaired
- Report issues with equipment or wiring to appropriate personnel
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, suppliers, vendors and government agencies
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel within a 50-mile radius of our office for business trips.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent. GED preferred.
- Must have experience in the field of electrical work.
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams or other technical material. Ability to write legibly. Ability to follow directions from supervisors. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at various jobs or sites while being flexible and adaptable in situations where jobs change frequently. Ability to use tools (e.g., power drills). Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
