Job Summary
We are seeking an entry level HVAC technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in HVAC systems, understanding of mechanical knowledge, air pressure, temperature, basic installation requirements preventative maintenance and the functions of an HVAC system(s) plus more. This role involves working in the field to assist in installations maintenance and repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Help with installing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, ductwork, and heat pumps.
- Assist in setting up and positioning HVAC units and other system components.
- Support technicians in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks like cleaning air filters, vents, and ducts.
- Check and replace parts as directed by a senior technician.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of tools and supplies.
- Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
- Clean job sites, tools, and equipment after installations or repairs.
- Help with wiring, refrigerant charging, and other technical tasks under supervision.
- Use basic hand and power tools effectively.
- Assist in recording job progress, materials used, and maintenance logs.
- Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts with the senior technician
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair is preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems is a plus
