Who you'll work with...We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the Quants & Analytics team at Flutter UK & Ireland. In the Flutter UKI Trading function, Quants & Analytics is leading the way in innovative reporting to improve performance in the Sportsbook. Reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager, the Data Analyst will be responsible for interpreting complex data sets to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decisions and enhance trading performance.
What you'll do...
- Coordinate and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to trading performance.
- Apply storytelling techniques to present data in an engaging and accessible manner, enabling partners and team members to easily grasp trends, patterns, and strategic implications.
- Create engaging and intuitive Looker dashboards that prioritize quality, cater to the trading team's needs, and offer valuable insights to customers and partners.
- Collaborate closely with traders, as well as collaborators from other teams, to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into visualizations and dashboards.
- Supporting the development of smarter and more automated reports and models, required to keep pace with a competitive and evolving industry.
What we're looking for...
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex datasets, identify key insights, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL highly desirable.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Looker (or similar BI tools like Tableau, Power BI) highly desirable.
- Experience using Python or R is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical partners and team members.
- Thorough attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
