HVAC Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems, including electrical components, refrigerant leaks, and mechanical failures.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Conduct property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems, including plumbing work as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on design projects for new installations or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations regarding HVAC installation and repair.
Skills
- Proficient in equipment repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to weld when necessary.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams for system design.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
