Johnstone Supply is seeking a dynamic results-driven Branch Manager to join our team. This individual will provide leadership and support across multiple branch locations. This is a in training role and once a role opens in the respective market this individual will be placed with a branch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Floating Manager include, but are not limited to:
Team Management
- Establish, communicate, and models performance expectations for all team members
- Ensures team members have the knowledge and skills to perform their jobs
- Ensures performance expectations are met by monitoring reports, gathering feedback from customers, and observing performance
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records, store operational records, documentation, and employee performance files
Customer Sales and Service
- Ensures customers receive prompt, professional service both in person and over the phone while working directly with customers
- Manages counter sales transactions and ensures that team members increase sales through add on and suggestive selling techniques
- Works to support outside and inside sales activity, develops/implements sales programs and promotions
- Ensures customer complaints and disputes are resolved in a timely, professional manner
- Follow up on sales leads and inquiries to generate additional business
Business Management and Financial Success
- Establish sales and profitability goals for the store
- Oversee customer returns, warranty processes, and balancing customer requests with company guidelines
- Control store operational costs, including labor, supplies, utilities, etc. to ensure overall store profitability
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and inventory movements
- Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and phone/email correspondence
General Results and Responsibilities
- Adheres to and enforces all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- May represent Johnstone Supply at trade associations and events

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- People management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers and different software programs
- Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds
Preferred
- 5 + years of management experience
Desired
- HVAC or similar industry experience
