Job Description:
Responsible for monitoring, inspecting and proposing measures to correct or improve products,
services and processes to meet established quality standards.
Prepares and implements quality assurance policies and procedures and perform routine inspections and quality tests.
Identifies and resolves workflow and production issues and ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
Addresses and evaluates issues and proposed solutions with management and documents activities creating audit reports.
Provides recommendations for improvements, training materials and operating manuals.
Ensures compliance with industry regulations and quality requirements, analyzes audit outcomes, carries out appropriate corrective procedures and oversees risk management procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Reports directly to the Group Manager. And coordinates with Government and Contractor senior management to maintain Quality Assurance and safety programs IAW policies, processes, procedures, and controls. Manages Contractor Aircraft Quality Control Inspectors.
- Manages the quality and safety programs to ensure compliance under the contract. Conducts quality and safety inspections/audits of the contract operations and sub-contractors. Develops Quality Assurance/Safety/Hazardous Waste programs, manuals, and revisions.
- Conducts research, develops corrective action alternatives, and tracks responses for problem areas identified in internal and customer audit findings. Acts as a direct representative to the local Navy point of contact.
- Monitors the weight and balance, FOD, Calibration, nondestructive testing, corrosion prevention, tool control, and ground safety programs along with other programs assigned.
- Manages the inspection branch, including inspection requirements, trend analysis, technical order publication library, maintenance training programs, and functional check flight programs.
- Provides guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards. Provides leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary.
- Develops staff and methodology to fulfill duties and communicates program metrics as needed. Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes, and literature to work site personnel.
- Investigates mishaps and injuries. Oversees Technical Library.
- Ensures compliance with company programs, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Government directives. Ensures Airworthiness Directive compliance and aircraft configuration.
- Ensures modification and maintenance activities are conducted utilizing applicable documents. Monitors quality deficiencies and coordinates corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in quality assurance and extensive quality assurance or control experience, of which three (3) years experience required in a maintenance or training position and three (3) years experience must be directly related to Naval systems

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $70,500 - $130,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
