Overview
**Do not apply for this position if you are not a Master Electrician or can obtain your Master Electrician License. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Master Electrician to join our team. While we need a master electrician, we would accept someone that can join our team as a journeyman with the amount of experience and hours to take the MN Master Electrician exam and pass. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and construction, with the ability to work effectively on various projects. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are performed according to industry standards.
Candidates that have solar or battery backup integration experience encouraged to apply but is not necessary.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations during all installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.
- Build and install electrical panels, wiring systems, and fixtures as required by project specifications.
- Be our go-to for low voltage wiring systems.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documents related to electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards for electrical work.
- Experience with frame carpentry is a plus for integrating electrical installations within construction projects.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters effectively.
- Previous experience as an industrial electrician is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members on construction sites.
