Positions Overview: Test and Repair Technicians operate mobile test units to measure water flow accuracy and perform route mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed at different directed locations. In similar manner, Exchange technicians are responsible for preparing and exchanging meters3'' and larger. This position offers excellent income potential and advancement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of technicians responsible for installing and maintaining large meters.
- Oversee the scheduling and completion of meter installations and repairs.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with meters.
- Coordinate with utility teams to ensure accurate planning of meters.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and repairs to ensure functionality.
- Train team members on proper use of tools for meter installations.
- Review all daily work and photos for corresponding accounts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plumbing or construction (1-3 years).
- Familiarity with water meter installation and maintenance.
- Strong track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Demonstrated ability to work diligently in physically demanding environments.
- Experience working in team settings with a focus on collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
- Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Open to traveling as required for project assignments.
- Understanding of safety protocols in plumbing and construction.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently in the field.
- Capability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 for reporting and documentation.
- Must have reliable transportation for travel to job locations.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and vehicle insurance.

Required education:
· High school or some college at minimum required.
Required experience:
· Plumbing: 1-3 years
· Meter Installation: minimum 1 year
· Management Experience : minimum 1-3 years
