Position Summary:
If you are a Business Development professional with a passion for creating, developing, and growing client relationships, we are looking for you! The Business Development Representative will ensure continued service offering penetration and profitability of assigned clients through a proactive contact strategy, establishing rapport with clients by resolving questions regarding products, services, or pricing to improve client satisfaction and increase profitability. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrate success in driving revenue growth within the Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Facilities and Events, arenas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
- Cultivate new client relationships and generate new business opportunities.
- Build excellent relationships with existing clients, generating repeat business and grow base business to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals.
- Develop proposals, prepare responses, and follow-up with prospective clients.
- Investigate expanded business opportunities; work closely with operations teams to meet client needs.
- Create leads and develop long-term relationships within communities, relevant companies, organizations, and groups.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis.
- Work with clients to build success plans, establish critical goals, expand our presence, and reduce risk.
- Proven track record of working with clients to identify and implement strategic growth plans.
- Highly effective organizational skills and experience working in a team sales environment.
- Experience leading executive level strategic meetings and relationships.
- Minimum Travel required.
- Other assigned duties, projects, and responsibilities as defined by the business environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in hospitality staffing or a related industry such as food & beverage, catering, events, banquets, sporting venues, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in business, hotel/restaurant management or a related field, and/or appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Expertise in financial analysis and planning, budgeting, and marketing.
- Working knowledge of local and regional markets, venue operations, and special events industries.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated success in driving revenue growth.
- Can be trusted to act in a manner that is truthful and values direct, honest communication at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and relate to all levels within and outside the organization; creates and builds positive and productive relationships.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
- Excellent customer service, written, oral communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Present and carry themselves in a professional manner and display professional appearance.
- Handle the stress of multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
