Responsibilities:
- Perform welding in various positions, adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure 100% weld quality across all positions
- Manufacture and fabricate metal products, including aluminum, carbon, and water pipes
- Install and repair equipment and components
- Read and interpret blueprints to meet specifications
- Measure materials to verify compliance with specifications
- Conduct tests to assess weld quality and tolerances
Qualifications:
- Experience in welding, manufacturing, or related fields
- Proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Must possess appropriate welding attire
- Familiar with welding tools, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and schematics
- Capable of passing certification tests for Stainless Steel Pipe, open root joints, and 6G fixed position; welds must comply with ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of pipe welding experience preferred
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on fixtures 28 inches off the ground
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels exceeding 90 decibels
