POSITIONOVERVIEW:
Performs task in the repair, maintenance, and installation of AUS campus plumbing systems, to include domestic potable water and waster water systems, boilers, restroom fixtures, hot water heaters, water softeners, sump pumps and grease traps, potable water cabinets, water quality ponds and back-flow preventer and grease waste systems. Assist with the review and oversight of plumbing work that is performed by tenants, contractors, and consultants. Provide assistance and input as the subject matter expert for all AUS construction projects.

A skills assessment will be required for this position.
TRAVEL (Plumber I)
If you are selected for this position and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.
Driving Requirement (Plumber II):
This position requires a Texas Class C Operator’s License or ability to obtain one within 90 calendar days of hire. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months.
