As the Global Head of the HVAC & IoT Building Automation product line, you will step into a unique opportunity to shape the future of our business. This senior leadership role is not just about overseeing and driving the overall success of the HVAC & IoT BA business but also about leveraging your expertise in building automation control technology and deep market knowledge to develop and implement strategic initiatives. Your goal will be to further strengthen ABB's position as the industry leader in HVAC and IoT. This position encompasses the strategic and operational management of product management, research and development (R&D), application & technical support, sales, and with end-to-end business responsibility. You will ensure that the building automation and IoT offerings meet market demands, are technologically advanced, and achieve financial targets. The work model for the role is: #LI-remote #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • End-to-End Responsibility: Implement an end-to-end approach to ensure all business line processes are aligned and optimized to deliver maximum customer value while maintaining efficiency. Oversee P&L, manage budgets across product development, R&D, and marketing, ensuring financial targets are met. • Global Strategy & Market Engagement: Develop and execute a global business strategy for the HVAC building automation division, aligned with market trends and company objectives. Represent the company at industry events and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. • Product Portfolio & Lifecycle Management: Define the product portfolio vision and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software, hardware, and solutions. Ensure the product management team identifies market needs and competitive innovations, driving R&D for effective implementation. • Go-to-Market Strategy & Business Growth: Drive the go-to-market strategy, setting objectives to grow market share and revenue within the building automation and IoT sectors. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand market presence. • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, R&D, and operations to ensure seamless execution of strategies. Inspire and guide teams, providing mentorship and support to achieve high performance and business targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably control, automation, electronics, or energy) or Software; Master’s/MBA a plus. 10+ years of HVAC experience, focusing on building industry technologies in the EMEA region.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in multicultural, matrix organizations, with experience driving change and participating in business transformation. Experience with P&L or end-to-end responsibility is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of the HVAC and building automation market, combined with strong business acumen and strategic thinking for effective business planning.
- Successful track record in driving innovation and launching new products or solutions con-tributing to business growth.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
