Job Title: Interstate Maintenance and Incident Response Technician

Job Description: We are looking to hire dedicated and observant Interstate Maintenance and Incident Response Technicians. These positions are responsible for picking up interstate debris, driving crash trucks, setting up traffic control, and being on storm standby. The role includes being part of a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Debris Removal: Safely and efficiently remove debris from interstate highways.
- Crash Truck Operation: Drive and operate crash trucks to respond to incidents and accidents.
- Traffic Control: Set up and manage traffic control measures, including cones, barriers, and signage, to ensure the safety of the public and first responders.
- Storm Standby: Be on standby during inclement weather to respond quickly to emergencies.
- Incident Response: Respond to incidents, including vehicle crashes and hazardous material spills, providing support and coordination with emergency services.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing guardrails, clearing drainage systems, and maintaining road signage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, debris removal, and maintenance activities.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) preferred.
- Proven experience working in roadway maintenance or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional observation skills.
