About This Role:
- As the MPU Apprentice, your job duties will include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting solar system components for electrical errors, offering support to install teams, oversee electrical connection between solar system and the grid, communicate with different teams or homeowners for necessary repairs, and more.iate electrical installation and ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians by performing tasks under the direct supervision of an electrician installing the work and handling the bulk of materials.
- Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost
- Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC (National Electric Code) and local codes
- Work with our CRM systems (Podio) to update the status of projects timely, and ensure all reporting and analytics is accurate
- Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/field rooftop environment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues
- Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid
- Interface with branch leadership to ensure compliance with electrician / labor ratios and continuing education requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of electrical installation and repair experience
- Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
- Working knowledge of current NEC, local building, and green book codes
- Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
- Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, CAD drawings ETC
- Ability to complete work as scheduled
- Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights
- Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/field rooftop environment
- Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
- Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements and have valid driver's license while maintaining a clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders (Daily)
- Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs. routinely (Daily)
- Ability to work in -0-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
- Ability to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
