Job Summary:
We are looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team! This individual must have previous commercial electrical experience, is skilled in troubleshooting and installation, and has excellent customer service skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to complete various electrical tasks in a safe manner and with limited supervision and/or assistance
- Troubleshooting electrical issues
- Electrical break and repair
- Perform service installations and alterations
- Read blueprints, run conduit, bend pipe, and wire/terminate devices
- Perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
- Manage service upgrades for customers
- Interact with store/facilities managers and maintenance department personnel
- Install like-for-like lighting and/or lighting retrofits and upgrades for customers
- Maintains valid driver’s license and is deemed insurable by company’s insurance
Experience, Skill, and Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 5-10 years previous commercial and/or industrial electrical service
- Working knowledge of installing electrical systems
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders
- Ability to use MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Solid planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong independent judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to follow procedures and regulations
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Must be able to travel within a three-hour radius from home (approximately 70%)
- Must be able to work occasional overnight/out-of-town, as needed (approximately 30%)
- Must possess a current valid driver’s license and be deemed insurable by company’s insurance provider
- Must be able to provide tooling for work
