We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Manager to join our Pre-Construction and Design team at Berg Enterprises, Inc. The Inside Sales Manager serves as a vital communication link among the account manager, estimator, project management, and finance teams. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure all submissions are thorough, competitive, and timely. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines effectively, and the skill to understand and communicate the technical aspects of proposals to the team.
They will report directly to the VP, Pre-Construction and Design, ensuring that the department meets sales targets and fulfills company objectives.
Responsibilities.
The Inside Sales Manager oversees, organizes, and manages the bidding process among estimators, while also providing support for project estimation. Moreover, they facilitate collaboration between inside and outside sales through the following tasks:
Collaborate with other departments to align sales efforts with broader business objectives

Supervise and lead the inside sales team, participate in weekly bid reviews and department meetings, and enhance overall performance

Coordinate the preparation and submission of proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines by gathering all necessary information and documents

Work closely with various departments (such as sales, project management, and finance) to collect accurate information for bid preparation

Create and maintain a database of previous proposals, bids, and relevant documentation to streamline future bidding processes

Analyze tender documents to grasp client requirements and ensure compliance in all aspects of the bid

Organize bid strategy meetings to establish timelines, assign tasks, and set deadlines for team members involved in the bidding process

Edit and proofread bid documents for accuracy, completeness, and clarity to ensure high quality and error-free submissions

Manage the bid submission process through the appropriate channels, ensuring all electronic and physical submissions are correctly formatted, complete, and delivered on time

Conduct post-bid reviews and feedback sessions with team members to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned for future bids
Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform strategies and tactics

Bachelor’s degree or industry experience in the HVAC field

Proven track record of successfully managing an inside sales team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively influence customers, team members, and other stakeholders

Knowledge of Bluebeam, Google Workspace, and sales methodologies
