THE JOB:
As the Facilities Manager you are responsible for ensuring that our building is properly maintained and operates efficiently. Your main duties would include overseeing maintenance including building repairs, upkeep of systems like HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Managing staff, ensuring our building stays in compliance regarding safety. Controlling maintenance cost, handling contracts and keeping operation repairs within budget. In short, the Facilities Manager ensures everything in the building runs smoothly and safely.
SCHEDULE: 3:00pm-11:00pm
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Budgeting: Follow the department's plan to meet the company’s goals and budget, both short-term and long-term.
- Supervisor: Supervise the maintenance team, making sure their work is on track, providing feedback, hiring, training, and keeping employees engaged.
- WOW the Guest: Make sure the guest experience meets the company’s high service standards.
- Safety: Ensure the building meets health and safety rules and keep accurate records of all activities.
- Operations: Keep an eye on energy costs and usage, and track utility data. Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure equipment is cleaned, repaired, or replaced as needed.
- Inventory: Manage inventory and purchasing for tools, parts, and equipment to meet property standards
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Has a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of Managerial experience
- HVAC certifications (not required)
- Possess Maryland Stationary Engineering License, Grade 1,2, or 3
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
- Hand-on operation and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Can handle multiple tasks at once.
- Flourishes in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrates physical aptitude.
- Highly skilled at addressing challenges.
- Takes pride in their works, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards.
