Position: Apprentice Electrician
SCHEDULE

Work hours: 3rd shift (approximate 11pm - 7am)
Overview: We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician to join our team on a major civil construction project in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical trade under the guidance of experienced Journeyman Electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while learning the trade in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Electrical Installations: Support Journeyman Electricians in installing wiring, conduits, switchgear, and lighting fixtures in compliance with electrical codes.
- Learn & Apply Electrical Techniques: Gain practical experience by working alongside skilled electricians, learning how to read blueprints, schematics, and understand electrical systems.
- Support Maintenance & Repairs: Help in diagnosing and fixing electrical issues, learning how to identify problems and apply solutions.
- Material Handling: Assist in the organization, setup, and transport of electrical materials, tools, and equipment on the job site.
- Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Documentation: Help with maintaining accurate records of electrical work performed, including installations and repairs.
- Safety Awareness: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and participate in safety training sessions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other apprentices, journeymen, and site personnel to ensure smooth project operations and learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Enrollment in a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Interest in Electrical Work: A strong desire to learn the electrical trade and develop skills in the field of civil construction.
- Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with basic electrical concepts and tools is a plus, but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring work is performed safely and correctly.
- Willingness to Learn: Open to receiving constructive feedback and eager to grow in the electrical trade.
- Certification: OSHA 10 certification is preferred but can be obtained on the job.

Pay: $21.27 - $22.63 per hour
