PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Perform all repair and maintenance duties necessary for all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water coolers , condensers, refrigeration equipment, freezers and other equipment utilizing refrigeration principles in a functional and satisfactory operating condition
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain and repair all equipment using refrigerants for Heating/ cooling
- Maintain, calibrate and repair all automatic temperature controls
- Install minor additions to duct work
- Cooperates in department’s work improvement efforts.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to Essential Functions:
- Maintain and repair , refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, ice machines, heat pumps, air dryers, chillers
- Maintain, calibrate all electrical components that pertain to HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain, calibrate and repair all pneumatic components that pertain to HVAC and refrigeration equipment such as control panels, pneumatic controls related to air handlers, thermostats, reheats and mixing boxes.
- Add or replace grills, registers, volume dampers and flex collars.
- Mount and repair safety equipment, freeze stats, fire dampers.
- Observe sanitation, safety and housekeeping regulations.
- Install, repair, maintain and calibrate all equipment having self- contained refrigeration units, heat pumps, refrigerators, ice machines, air dryers and ect.
- Perform air balance test , make additions and modifications to air supply and exhaust systems.
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University.
