Job Description
This is a lead position. The ideal candidate must possess a journeyman license and be interested in helping grow our department, advance his/her job knowledge and have 5 years minimum of residential experience, including both remodel and new construction. Must have a good understanding of the NEC and local requirements, have hand tools and clean driving record. Must be honest and have the highest integrity, friendly and customer focused, professional appearance and a willingness to consistently go above and beyond expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Plan, layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment/fixtures based on reading prints, job specifications in accordance with NEC and local code.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Provide highest quality of craftsmanship, with the end result being a service/solution that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectation.
- Coordinate the ordering of materials, when needed, through designated channels.
- Work effectively within the residential delivery team to ensure overall success and growth of the department. This will include participating in group/team meetings to determine areas for future improvement.
- Communicates effectively with upper management on challenges, successes and needs to help drive value and superior service to our customers.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring, equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all necessary documentation to include; responding to emails/voicemails, quoting services, completing and/or collecting of payments, and any other service responsibilities.
- Assist with actively growing our customer base and range of services through growth-related initiatives.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3+ years of Residential electrical work experience
- Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Electrical certification desired and/or some college preferred
- Excel at troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical challenges
- Technologically savvy; must be able to operate iPad tablets
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and ability to make on-the-job adjustments, if necessary
- Knows how to establish customer rapport
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary, with a positive attitude
- Strong desire to be the best technician, willing and capable of learning new applications/methods.
- Capable of maintaining a clean, safe driving record, valid driver’s license, passing drug screen, and background check
