Job Summary
Journeyman HVACR License Master License is preferred and documented management training as well as prior experience of service department management, working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and OSHA requirements.
Ensure customer satisfaction and profitability of the service department
Manage and oversee members of the Service team and field technicians
Assist Project Managers with scheduling and coordination of ongoing work
Provide support to Service Dispatch and CSR as needed ensuring customers receive the highest level of service.
Assist Service Technicians by phone and in the field when appropriate
Refer any requests for quotes on major projects to the Owners or Project Managers as directed
Assist management with reviews and evaluations of service department personnel including recommendations for employee training
Assist management in determining requirements of staffing levels for Service Department
Tasks:
- Review daily service tickets ensuring processing procedures are completed including required site information and details are entered, ensuring follow up work is scheduled and parts orders are placed
- Review all warranty invoices, ensuring that all valid warranty issues are being addressed to the vendor, parts, misc. field materials and labor
- Provide customer quotes for minor repairs and replacements
- Review service invoices for accuracy following processing by AR staff
- Perform daily review of dispatch board ensuring customers and managers have been apprised of upcoming work
- Ensure customers receive prior notification of technician arrival
