Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transport Refrigeration Technician to join our team on second shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and possess the necessary skills to perform field service and maintenance on refrigeration systems. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration equipment in a commercial facility or mobile vehicle.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration systems and components
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as compressors, motors, and valves
- Install new refrigeration systems according to specifications
- Test systems for proper operation and ensure they meet safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering any questions they may have
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- HVAC/R certification is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment
- Familiarity with welding and plumbing techniques is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
