Job Description:
As a Solar Electrician, you will play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Installing photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential properties according to design specifications and local building codes.
- Conducting thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure proper system functioning and safety.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with solar energy systems, including electrical components, wiring, and connections.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of installations and adherence to project requirements.
- Following established safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Providing excellent customer service and effectively communicating with customers to address any questions or concerns.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in electrical or solar technology preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician license or relevant certification required.
- Proven experience in electrical work, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in electrical and construction work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work at heights and in varying weather conditions, with the physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment as needed.
- Ability to lift products 50-75+ pounds
