Sr. Electrician (Industrial)
Read, interpret, and perform electrical assemblies and installations from blueprints and wiring diagrams; assist in performing building and machine maintenance; assist electrical engineers in electrical design; assist in expediting shop production, and perform as directed by shop supervision.
Performs a variety of functions related to electrical controls, equipment, and wiring in an industrial plant or worksite. Their work may involve testing, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of the electrical components.
This would break down to being mostly electrical panel layout for electrical components and wiring, and machine wiring.
- Board, pendant and footswitch repair
- Tag repaired boards and organize
- Enter job status notes identifying hours, materials and status of the repaired item
- Answer and provide phone support to customers with equipment in the field
- Trouble shoot electrical equipment problems over the phone)
- Document calls with call reports and forward to appropriate team members
- Perform installation, supervision and training, and field service
- Coordinate service call timing and schedule with the customer
- Discuss facility and availability of tools on site
- Arrange travel to and from site
- Flying typically required when drive time exceeds around 6 hours
- Enter trip reports in the database when required
- Follow up with customer after the service call when required
- Occasionally assist with R &D for in house development of new in house products
- System Engineering support
- Provide sketches by hand or ACAD for electrical connection research
- Provide component research and interconnection research when required.
- Provide Electrical Engineering support for equipment design when required
Provide electrical production support in the shop, primarily on system type equipment
- System trouble shooting and calibration
- Answer Systems related questions in the shop when required
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with co-workers, customers, and supervision. Must maintain high standards of safety, teamwork, workmanship, quality, documentation, and housekeeping; comply with company work rules; able to use appropriate devices to move or lift products and material of varied sizes and weights, sometimes in excess of 1000 pounds; provide own tools; care for and operate electrical assembly equipment.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.25 per hour
Qualifications
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems
- Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations
- Experience in industrial and commercial electrical work
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Experience in electrical machinery or electrical building maintenance
- Experience with programmable logic controllers is a plus
