Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our construction team as a Paneling and Insulation Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cold storage projects involving the installation of insulated metal panels (IMPs), pipe insulation, carpentry, and sheet metal. Advancement opportunities are available. Travel is required.
Expected Pay: $30-35 depending on experience
Experience Required: 1+ Year of Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) installation & 3-5+ years’ construction
Per Diem: $65/night (double occupancy)
Lodging: Fully Paid
Travel: Fully Paid (Both ways)
Key Duties:
- Measure, cut, and install insulated metal panels (IMPs) to precise specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Install vapor barriers & jacketing (Metal & PVC) to prevent moisture from corroding insulation and piping.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including but not limited to cutting tools, drills, and measuring devices, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate forklifts and a variety of hand and power tools, including cutting tools, drills, and measuring devices, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform general labor duties, including lifting, carrying, rigging, and moving materials as directed by the project lead.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and productive environment for the entire team.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks and goals as assigned, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
- 1+ Year of Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) installation & 3-5+ years’ construction experience
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools & industrial equipment including forklifts, with adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset, capable of accurately measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively follow instructions and collaborate with team members.
- Extensive travel required (typical tour is from the Tuesday of the 1st week to the Thursday of the 2nd week, with 10-12 hour days)
- Must have valid driver’s license and be capable of driving up to 10 hours in a day
- Companies are a tobacco-free workplace and, as such, no tobacco products are allowed during the workday on the jobsite(s).
- Position requires pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and DUI screening
- As a representative of the company, individuals should be well groomed and presentable
- Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite
- Requires face-to-face communication and contact with others (face-to-face, telephone, email, or otherwise)
- Requires working in very hot (above 100F) or very cold (below 10F) temperatures and the ability to wear all required safety PPE in these conditions
