GENERAL JOB DUTIES:
Service and repair of electrical equipment and accessories for Morrow Equipment Company. Provides technical guidance to coworkers and customers related to electrical applications.

- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hoist and crane systems.
- Ability to service motor controls and diagnose electrical problems.
- Ability to assemble parts as needed for repair of equipment.
- Ability to learn and operate shop machinery and small electrical power tools.
- Proper handling of equipment for transportation and storage.
- Ensure the maintenance and preventative maintenance is performed on all tools and shop equipment.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use.
- Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, arc flash, etc.
- Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or FR uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Complying with safety regulations, standards and Company policies.
- Notifies the District Service Manager or, if unavailable, the Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Service Manager or Vice President of Operations of unsafe conditions and/or practices.
- Responsible for timely completion and submission of required paper work and reports to the Corporate office.
- Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights as required.
- Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.
- Performance of other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Shop/Yard Foremen.
Requirements:
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years previous experience in industrial electrical and control systems.
- Proficiency in PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Understanding of European electrical schematics preferred.
- Essential knowledge of tower cranes and personnel hoist electrical systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, including parts and equipment specifications, catalogs, manuals, etc.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics.
- Ability to service motor controls and diagnose electrical problems.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES:
- May be required to maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
- May be required to maintain valid state driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s carrier.
- May be required to maintain a current electrical license as required by State laws.
- May be required to complete rigger/signaling training and/or may be required to complete rigging/signal person certification.
- May be required to have a forklift operator’s license.
- May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification.
