Position Overview:
International is hiring two Facility Engineers to support the maintenance team and the facilities team in San Antonio, TX.
The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing training protocols, standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance as well as continuous improvement in alignment with the International P& L way.
The International San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, International takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow International to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, International's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.
San Antonio Manufacturing runs a 4x10 production schedule (Mon-Thurs, 5:30AM - 4:00PM). This role will support production and site projects that will require working Fridays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of a systematic, on-going process for review of all facilities assets and process equipment to determine immediate and long-term repair and maintenance needs using independent judgement.
- Manage and collaborate a cross-functional support team. Responsible for coaching, discipline, development, training, and hiring of team.
- Develop and monitor compliance to key performance indicators (KPI) using general knowledge of facilities/production process equipment; coordinates with leadership in development of KPIs.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work Instructions, and productivity tools using general knowledge with input from subject experts.
- Create and implement relevant training for all maintenance/facilities technicians using a mixture of delivery methods and technologies/programs.
- Maintain subject matter expertise related to the plants CMMS; serve as one of system administrators and liaisons with software provider.
- Create, evaluate, and analyze non-complex to complex CMMS data, reports, visualizations, dashboards, etc. related to all operations; promotes data-driven decision making across department.
- Provide support in determining budget priorities and expenditures according to guidelines established by leadership and in the preparation of bid specifications and cost estimates using general knowledge.
- Create and implement tracking metrics for projects and routine operations involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of Facilities Services work throughout the District.
- Assists in project review and approval of drawings/plans for new equipment and systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of facilities planning/engineering experience
OR
- Master's degree
- At least 3 years of facilities planning/engineering experience
OR
- At least 7 years of facilities planning/engineering experience
