The Position:
The Service Electrician will work in our Dallas, Texas office and will be responsible for communicating with clients and onsite representatives for remodels and new construction projects while performing terminal and electrical services, repairing equipment and systems, and performing maintenance, testing, and installations across various facilities. Additionally, this role includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and circuits and identifying and acquiring replacement parts. Hi-Tech Electric seeks a dependable and hardworking individual for this role.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed sketches demonstrating the location of wiring and equipment and read and adhere to diagrams or blueprints, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
- Utilizing job specifications, plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications, safety codes and local electrical codes.
- Test and verify the functionality and safety of electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes.
- Perform installations, maintenance, or repairs of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures from ladders, scaffolds, or rooftops.
- Perform physically demanding tasks while applying expertise in both basic and specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job or work order process.
- Must have an understanding of and ensure compliance with government and local regulations and ordinances, as well as all required safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Service Electrician, Commercial Electrician, or in a related role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Valid Texas Driver's License required.
- Current Texas Journeyman Electrical License.
- MS Office proficiency, including Excel.
