Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our plumbing services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in the field. This role requires someone who can effectively manage the labor force, handle and oversee large and small job estimates, and own the responsibility of training and development of plumbers while maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and motivate the plumbing team to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional service.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any personnel issues.
- Hire, train, and if necessary, fire employees, ensuring a high-performing and well-informed team.
- Field Operations:
- Be hands-on in the field to support and guide technicians, providing expertise and troubleshooting when needed.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of work performed on-site, meeting company standards and customer expectations.
- Job Estimation & Coordination:
- Accurately estimate plumbing jobs and projects, working with customers to provide detailed quotes as required.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Training & Meetings:
- Organize and conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on industry standards, new technologies, and best practices.
- Run operational meetings to discuss job progress, address challenges, and strategize for continuous improvement.
- Safety & SOPs:
- Implement and enforce safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Operational Coordination:
- Work closely with the General Manager to ensure task completion, deadlines are met, and operational goals are achieved.
- Interact with warehouse and fleet management to coordinate inventory, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.
- Customer & Vendor Relations:
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any issues or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Manage interactions with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely availability of materials and services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Plumbing Service Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Hands-on experience in the plumbing field with a deep understanding of plumbing systems and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ServiceTitan or similar software is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in estimating and managing plumbing projects.
- Ability to implement and enforce safety SOPs.
- Experience in coordinating with contractors, vendors, and managing warehouse and fleet operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Education & Certification:
- Must be a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
