**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems in various settings, including commercial and industrial environments. The Refrigeration Technician will ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and effectively while adhering to safety regulations and company standards.
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on refrigeration systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Perform repairs and replacements on refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration systems, using specialized tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Drive a company van to and from job sites, and maintain a clean and organized work vehicle.
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks in the shop and on job sites.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices.
**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a refrigeration technician, with a strong background in HVAC/R systems.
- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance
- Experience with service technician roles and a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in cramped spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
**Skills**
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and refrigeration design.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools, including an ohmmeter.
- Strong experience with service technician roles and customer service principles.
- Ability to drive a van and maintain a clean and organized work vehicle.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and property maintenance practices and procedures.
- Experience with equipment repair and maintenance, including welding and fabrication.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
